Effimed, a manufacturer of protective medical devices based in Lucena (Córdoba), has joined the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Masks, Gowns and PPE (OESP) to “combat the bad practices carried out in the sector and with the aim of preserving the business fabric that arose as a result of the crisis caused by Covid-19 and to highlight the importance of the industry”, as they explained.
The Cordoba-based company already generates more than 30 direct jobs in the mask manufacturing line alone and has a production capacity of 7.3 million masks made in Spain per month.
Effimed is licensed by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (Aemps). In this way, the high technical quality of the products manufactured in the Lucena plants is guaranteed and their value is highlighted in comparison with other national and international manufacturers, which are not certified by the health organization.
Likewise, Effimed uses raw materials produced within the national framework to guarantee good manufacturing practices and has established rigorous processes in the production chain to ensure a result in accordance with quality standards. Its fabric has a high level of softness and technicality capable of avoiding any type of allergy and discomfort.
It should be recalled that Effimed IIR masks achieved in the last report an exceptional breathability required by the #EN14683:2019 standard, under which these masks made in Spain are governed. In addition to undergoing daily production controls, they are manufactured under the UNE-EN 14683:2019 + AC2019 Standard. Effimed masks are currently available on Amazon.
Effimed is already positioned as the leading mask manufacturer in Spain after obtaining a 99.98 percent Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BEF) certification.
The Spanish Association of Mask, Gown and PPE Manufacturers aims to unite the entire Spanish industry. It currently has 14 members in different geographical areas of the Iberian Peninsula, in Extremadura, Madrid and Andalusia, among others, and is working towards the adhesion of other companies in the sector.
